Bhubaneswar : Ahead of New Year 2024, State Government today promoted 19 IPS Officers of Odisha cadre to various ranks.
The General Administration and Public Grievances Department has issued notifications to this effect.
As per the notification, senior IPS officer of 1999 batch, Ghanashyam Upadhyay, who is now on central deputation, has been allowed to avail promotion to the grade of ADG police with effect from January 1, 2024. Shri Upadhyay is given Pro-forma Promotion.
At least five IPS officers of the 2006 batch were promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG) of Police.
While Anup Kumar Sahoo DIG Intelligence is given promotion to IGP Rank, Amrita Dash, Anirudh Kumar Singh, Anoop Krishna and Sudha Singh were given Pro-froma Promotion as they are serving in the Organizations of Government of India.
Similarly, six 2010 batch IPS Officers were given promotion to the grade of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police. The new DIGs are—Mitrabhanu Mahapatra, Sarah Sharma, Kanwar Vishal Singh, Ashis Kumar Singh, Parul Gupta and K Siva Subramani.
At present Ashis Kumar, Parul Gupta and K Siva Subraman are on Central deputation, so they are given Pro-forma Promotion.
Moreover, four other Odisha cadre IPS officers of 2015 batch Rahul Jain, Sarvana Vivek M, Kusalkar Nitin Dagdu and Pratyush Diwaker were promoted to Level-12 Pay Scale.
Three 2011 batch IPS officers Pinak Mishra, Banoth Jugal Kishore Kumar, Battula Gangadhar have been given promotion to Level 13 of Pay Matrix, the notification said.
