She was found dead in the hostel of university when the Nepali students demanded to investigate the truth and provide justice to them.

In the letter, the Nepal Commission has requested the NHRC to investigate the suspicious death and provide justice to the victims, to provide speedy justice to the students who were beaten and mistreated in the university, to ensure complete security of the Nepali students and ensure that they can study in a fear-free environment, and to bring the university officials and individuals involved in the incident to justice.

The State Government, on its part, also issued instructions to the KIIT authorities to take prompt action to restore the confidence of Nepalese students who have not returned to the campus so far.

Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli had also expressed concern over the incident and rushed two embassy officials to Bhubaneswar to take stock of the situation.
