Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President, Shri Naveen Patnaik, is showing marked improvement after being admitted to SUM Ultimate Medicare on Sunday for dehydration. A hospital bulletin confirmed his stable condition, stating that he has been moved from the observation room to a cabin.
According to the bulletin, Shri Patnaik, who was admitted on Sunday afternoon, is “feeling fresh” and is responding well to treatment. The rapid improvement in his condition has brought relief to his well-wishers and party members.
This latest health incident comes a few months after Shri Patnaik, who is 78, underwent a spinal surgery for cervical arthritis in Mumbai. He had returned to Odisha in July after a successful procedure. His health has been a topic of discussion, particularly during the recent election period, when he was reported to have limited his campaigning due to age-related concerns.
As the BJD President and Leader of the Opposition, Shri Patnaik continues to be a central figure in Odisha politics. The hospital’s positive update on his health is being closely watched across the state.
