Bhubaneswar: To facilitate smooth registration of new beneficiaries under BSKY Nabin Card, the State Government today extended the deadline for submission of online applications for inclusion under the scheme by another 10 days.
The application process, which started on January 6, will now continue till January 26 instead of January 16.
Eligible persons can register themselves on bskynabin.odisha.gov.in to get benefits of the newly launched healthcare scheme.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the BSKY Nabin Card on December 29 to provide cashless healthcare facilities to people of rural areas in private hospitals.
All rural families of the state, except government employees, income taxpayers and those not covered under BSKY, will be eligible for the ‘BSKY Nabin Card’.
They will be entitled to cashless healthcare of Rs 5 lakh per annum, and the coverage for women would be up to Rs 10 lakh in empanelled private hospitals both inside and outside the state.
So far, a total of 3,46,294 families have been registered online till 2 pm today (January 16). There are more than 9.70 lakh members registered in the application.
According to sources, the highest 48,500 families registered from Ganjam district; 26,825 from Khurda district; 28,794 from Cuttack; 23,042 applications have been received from Bhadrak and 22,570 applications from Baleswar district.
Similarly, 20,744 applications have been received from Puri district, 19,578 from Kendrapada and 14,947 from Nayagarh district, 15,248 from Jagatsinghpur, 14,061 from Jajpur, 14,569 from Bargarh, 12,349 from Sundergarh, 12,397 from Angul and 11,880 from Dhenkanal.
On an average, more than 11,500 applications have been registered per district from all 30 districts.
