Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday said many parts of the State from September 18.
An upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal around September 18, 2022. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over the same region during subsequent 48 hours, it said.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur on September 18.
Rainfall of similar intensity would occur in some places of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts on September 19.
Similarly, on September 20, heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Boudh, Angul, Sonepur, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi.
Rainfall of 7 to 11cm would occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada and Rayagada on the same day.
