Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has announced the appointment of Shri Manoj Kumar Mohanty, IAS (Retd.), as a Member of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
This appointment comes shortly after the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi recently lauded Shri Mohanty as an honest officer, a testament to his distinguished service.
According to a notification issued today by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Shri Mohanty, formerly an Ex-Additional Secretary to Government, GA & PG Department, will serve a term of six years from the date he assumes office or until he attains the age of sixty-two years, whichever is earlier.
The appointment has been made in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 316 of the Constitution of India, read with Regulation 5 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952.
The conditions of service for Shri Manoj Kumar Mohanty as a Member of the OPSC will be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952, as amended from time to time.
