Bhubaneswar: A day after elected as Leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Chief Minister designate Mohan Charan Majhi met outgoing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas.
Shri Majhi invited Naveen to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the new Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers in the evening.
Saffron Leader spent some time with the outgoing Chief Minister at the patter’s residence. It was a historic moment in Odisha politics.
Earlier yesterday,a delegation led by State BJP President Manmohan Samal, including MLA Suresh Pujari, ex-presidents Basanta Panda and Samir Mohanty, and MLA Nityananda Ganda visited Naveen Niwas and invited Patnaik to the swearing-in ceremony.
The delegation had personally handed over the invitation card to BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik to attend the swearing-in ceremony that is scheduled to be held this evening.
Speaking to the media, Shri Majhi said that Naveen accepted the invite and assured them that he would attend the ceremony.
