Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are among the 40 star campaigners who would canvass for the BJP in Odisha during the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma has also been named in the star campaigners list.
In the list, the party also named its national president JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Smriti Irani, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Dharmendra Pradhan besides Odisha President Manmohan Samal
Among others, Odisha in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Union Minister Bisweswar Tudu, Sambit Patra, Basanta Kumar Panda, Jual Oram and Baijayant Jay Panda have been announced as the star campaigners for the BJP to hit the poll campaign trails in the State.
Odia film actors turned politicians Anubhav Mohanty, Harihar Mohapatra, Pinky Pradhan and Sritam Das have also been included in the list.
Union Home Minister is scheduled to kick start the election campaigning in the State from Sonepur district from April 25. He is scheduled to address a huge public gathering there.
The twin elections will be held in four phases in the state from May 13 to June 1 while results will be declared on June 4.
