Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha received moderate rainfall on Monday and the weather department has forecast heavy downpour in some districts.
Puri received 52.8 mm of rainfall, while there was a precipitation of 44.2 mm in Cuttack district over the past 24 hours till 8.30 am on Monday.
Jharsuguda and Koraput received 38.1 mm and 39 mm of rainfall, while Bhubaneswar received 11.4 mm of downpour. There was scant rainfall in the districts till 5.30 pm.
The Met centre has forecast light to moderate rain across the state.
There is a likelihood of heavy rainfall in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul and Deogarh districts. The Met department has forecast generally cloudy sky in Bhubaneswar with one or two spells of rain or thundershower.
The highest maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius was recorded in Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Phulbani
