Bhubaneswar: The Governing Biju Janata Dal(BJD) today announced its candidate for Cuttack Lok Sabha seat.
The party has nominated Ex-Corporate Honcho Santrupt Misra from Cuttack MP segment.
Business leader Shri Misra, former HR head of Aditya Birla Group, joined the BJD on 9 February.
And he was appointed party’s National Spokesperson moments later.
Speculation about his potential entry into the Naveen Patnaik-led party had been circulating since he opted for voluntary retirement from his corporate position in December, 2022.
Shri Misra seems active in political spectrum and now he has been nominated for crucial Cuttack LS Seat.
Though BJP has not announced its candidate for Cuttack MP segment, it was speculated that Bhartruhari Mahtab may be the candidate, if he joins the BJP.
