Mishra Opens Nuakhai Parav

New Delhi: The two-day silver jubilee celebrations of the Zuhar Delhi’s Nuakhai Parav began at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium auditorium in New Delhi today.

Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Dr.Pramod Kumar Mishra inaugurated the program by offering prayers to Maa Samaleswari.

Shri Mishra conveyed his greetings to all and mentioned the Prime Minister’s five verses and called for preserving the cultural potential of the country.

Uttar Pradesh Director General (Crime Branch) Satya Narayan Sabat, Kerala Director General of Fire Services Sanjeev Patjoshi, Principal Secretary Odia Language, Culture and Litreature Bishnupada Sethi, , Odisha Resident Commissioner in Delhi Vishal Gagan, Odisha Culture Director Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, Additional Press Secretary to President of India Bijay Nayak among others, were present on the occasion.

National Plant Research Institute Director Ajit Shasani, senior journalist Bhavani Dixit and senior advocates Sarat Nanda and Ashok Panda attended the inaugural function.

Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit and Venezuelan Ambassador Kapaya Rodriguez Gonzalez also attended the event.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was the Chief Guest in the afternoon.

Eminent Personality Alekh Sahu was conferred with The Zuhar Samman. Folk theatre artist Bhuvan Bhoi conferred the Atal Samman Union Minister Shri Pradhan released the Commemorative Zuhar Surta of Delhi Union Minister Shri Pradhan in his speech said that The Nuakhai Parab and Zuhar families of Delhi are complementary to Delhi.

Popular Sambalpuri singers Mantu Chhuria, Saswat Tripathy, Tularam Kalet, Saubhagyalakshmi Das, Sangita Rout performed the song music. Pratibha Bhawanipatna Shingari, Ghumura and Bajasal, Sambalpuri Dalkhai of Sambalpur Tribal Folk Art Centre performed. Yogesh Jojo performed humor and Balangir Kusang.
