The court began the year 2025 with 4865 pending cases and saw 1467 new institutions during the year. With 2261 cases disposed of in 2025 the pendency stood at 3618 by the start of 2026. As of May 1 2026 the count has been further reduced to 3204 cases.

Under the guidance of Shri Sahu the Board of Revenue has prioritized the use of technology including the CCMS 2.0 version and virtual hearing facilities. Special emphasis is being placed on cases involving government land and lands belonging to deities such as Lord Jagannatha Mahaprabhu and Lord Lingaraj Mahaprabhu.
The Minister was informed of certain administrative hurdles including vacancies for Presiding Officers in eight courts and the need to appoint new Law Officers following the expiration of previous tenures in November 2024.
Member Shri Sahu reaffirmed that clear instructions have been issued to all officers to conduct court sessions at least three days a week and to minimize adjournments to ensure time bound justice for litigants.
