Bhubaneswar: The Annual Flower Show of the Ekamra Kanan was a signature event where nature lovers and enthusiasts flocked to see the winter blooms.
An avid nature lover and philanthropist Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, Chairman and Managing Director of MGM Group has extended his support of the State Level Green Event.
Shri Mohanty has been religiously supporting Green Initiatives and always believes in nature care, for which he is extending MGM support in this regard, said a veteran IFS Officer.
Hundreds of green enthusiasts of the city enjoyed the annual flower show organized by Regional Plant Resources Centre (RPRC).
While 36 organizations participated in the green event, more than 50,000 visitors joined the green event and enjoyed the wonderful gardening coverage.
The objective of the flower show is to let the people know that beautiful flowers are grown here and to generate awareness among the people, said RPRC Chief Executive Suresh Pant.
ACS Forest, Environment and Climate Change Satyabrata Sahu graced the concluding ceremony as Chief Guest and handed over the prizes to the participants.
Earlier PCCF & HOFF Debidatta Biswal inaugurated the green show, which attracted large number of participants and footfall was great, said a Member of Plant Lovers Association.
It is great to see a city, known for the temples, tending carefully to flowers. The people of this city take interest in flowers and hold an annual show, which is wonderful, said an garden expert from Karnataka, who visited the stalls including the roof top garden stall, which has attracted large number of green enthusiasts.
