Department of Works has been declared as Nodal Department for construction of COVID Warrior Memorial.
COVID Warrior Memorial is being set up as to recognize the sacrifice and services of the COVID Warriors, who rendered services and even lost their lives fighting the Pandemic.
While Biju Patnaik Park has been selected as the proposed site for COVID Warrior Memorial, Department of Works will engage architect to finalize the design and structure of the Memorial.
Cost of the construction of COVID Warrior Memorial will be met out of Budgetary Provision of the Department of Works.
State Government has decided that COVID Warrior Memorial shall be ready for its inauguration on 15 august, 2021, said the order.
