New Delhi: Top Mandarin, Pramod Kumar Meherda has been appointed as Managing Director of National Food Security Mission (NFSM) of Government of India.
1997 Batch IAS Dr.Meherda has also been assigned additional charge of Secretary of the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board(ASRB).
Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) brought out the notification here on 23 August assigning Dr.Meherda with two crucial assignments in Union Government in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
Dr.Mehrda is now serving as Secretary to Governor of Odisha and Secretary Women and Child Development.
Long ago as one of the longest serving Director Agriculture, Dr.Mehrda had brought lot of reforms in the Agriculture Sector.
Dr.Mehrda is a proactive bureaucrat and quiet performer, who will be able to do the primary sector, which requires experienced hand like a work minded IAS Officer.
Similarly, 2004 Batch IAS Roopa Mishra has been appointed as Joint Secretary of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
Ms.Mishra is serving in the Ministry of Jal Shakti as Director.
She is known as a performing Mandarin and she has been picked up to this crucial assignment keeping in view her performance in the Department ofg Drinking Water and Sanitation.
