Siliguri: The Week-long Family Day Celebrations concluded at MAYFAIR Tea Resort here amidst much glitz and glamour.
MAYFAIR Hotel & Resorts observes 9 January every year, which is the birthday of the Group’s Chairman cum Founder Dilip Ray as the Family Day.
The big day at MAYFAIR which is the Chairman’s birthday begun with Lamp lightning ceremony and was followed by Cake Cutting by Shri Ray.
Interestingly his Granddaughter Kareena also celebrated Birthday along with Shri Ray.
Visionary, Humble and Hardworking, Shri Ray has been instrumental in creating a very unique working ecosystem at MAYFAIR wherein the workplace has become an extended home for the employees and where the bond between the employer-employee is more like the one that we share with our family.
Therefore, to cherish & celebrate this bond and most importantly to celebrate the reason that unites MAYFAIR Family, 9 January is observed as the Family Day.
The Celebrations this year commenced from 6 January with the arrival of all Resort Managers, Assistant Vice-President’s, Vice-President’s, President along with other senior functionaries of the Group at Siliguri.
Then, it was followed by a Cleanliness drive at Kali Mandir and the New Chumta Tea Estate Hospital on 7 January in which the MAYFAIR Family participated with much enthusiasm. The cleanliness drive was followed by a Ghazal evening in which Troupe Ahmed Abid set the tone for the evening.
On 8 January, a Blood Donation camp was organised at MAYFAIR Tea Resort wherein all eligible donors of MAYFAIR Family participated in huge numbers. It was then followed by Shri Guruji’s Satsang in the evening.
The whole Resort was vibrant, full of divine energy by the melodious Bhajans and insightful discourse by Guruji which was thoroughly enjoyed by one & all.
The Satsang was followed by a dinner party at the Resort which saw participation of eminent High Network Individuals (HNI), Senior Mandarins along with other valuable guests of MAYFAIR.
A Short documentary highlighting the Journey of Shri Dilip Ray was presented at the event. On the occasion, various awards like Bravery awards, loyalty awards were presented to the employees in recognition of their efforts.
Children Chhatra Awards were also presented to the meritorious children of the employees in recognition of their hard work. It was concluded by a lunch ceremony.
Several VIP Guests graced the occasion. As a gesture of gratefulness to the MAYFAIR Family, the Family members of Chairman started the buffet service by serving the guests which was then subsequently taken over by the Caterer Staff.
