Bhubaneswar: Additional Chief Secretary Home, Satyabrata Sahu interacted with IPS Probationers of 2022 Batch here at Lok Seva Bhawan here on 4 November.
His ‘Mantra’ for the Young IPS Officers was winning the hearts of the people through compassion rather than controlling them through fear.
Shri Sahu, known for his compassionate approach towards people urged the IPS Probationers for People Friendly approach.
ACS Home urged them to have a Team Approach and Patience as well as urged them that they should be proud of their uniform instead of flexing power out of it.
Calmness during law and order and zero tolerance towards crime against women and children is needed to be the approach of the IPS Officers,said ACS Shri Sahu.
While the Odisha Government is on ‘Development Mode’ for Viksit Odisha-2036, the IPS Officers are needed to facilitate development projects, said Shri Sahu, who has been known as “Speed Master” for facilitating development process in the State, pointed out a senior Top Cop.
ACS Shri Sahu the Young IPS Officers are needed to be part of industrial development as Odisha is spearheading Industrialization in a big way, however they will have to look into the people’s issues.
He urged the probationers to use the technology to the maximum possible extent while not forgetting the importance of the ground level intelligence inputs.
Disaster Management is an area, where Police has been given a new recognition and handling the natural disasters and helping the people and the State Government on “Zero Causality” approach is much needed.
ACS Home Shri Sahu said overall all of you are needed to be good human being and never lose the respect for your “Khaki Uniform”.
Special Secretary Home, R K Sharma and the Team 2022 IPS, Ananya Awasthi, Angu Shiva Maruthi Reddy, Archita Mittal, Subham Sanjay Bhosale, Manisha Meena, Rakesh Kumar Sahoo and Varshitha Adepu presented their ideas and it was appreciated by ACS Home, said sources.
