Bhubaneswar: A review meeting of the officers of the Labour Directorate was held to assess the progress of various programs and schemes. The meeting, which focused on leveraging technology and ensuring timely service delivery, was chaired by Smt. Chithra Arumugam, Principal Secretary to Government, Labour & ESI Department.

Smt. Madhumita Nayak, Special Secretary to Government; and Shri. Rajesh Kumar Agarwala, Additional Secretary, Labour & ESI Department attended the meeting.
Senior officers from all districts under the Labour Directorate also participated, providing a comprehensive overview of the situation on the ground.
During the session, Principal Secretary Smt. Arumugam underscored the importance of integrating technology effectively into various benefit-related schemes. She emphasized that this would not only enhance efficiency but also ensure greater transparency and accessibility for the beneficiaries.
A significant point of discussion was the need to dispose of all pending applications in a time-bound and planned manner. The officials were directed to streamline processes and take proactive measures to clear the backlog, thereby ensuring that services reach the intended recipients without undue delay.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from all participants to implement the directives and work towards a more responsive and efficient Labour Directorate.
