New Delhi: Ace Mandarin, Sanjay Malhotra has been appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Shri Malhotra is a 1990-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Rajasthan cadre.
He will take charge of RBI Governor on 11 December for three years, said a notification of Government of India.
An alumni of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and has a Master’s in Public Policy from Princeton University, USA.
Shri Malhotra at present Secretary Revenue in Ministry of Finance has worked in several sectors including finance and taxation, information technology, mines and power.
He will take charge from Shaktikanta Das, present RBI Governor, who completes six year term on 10 December.
