Keonjhar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi graced the golden jubilee celebration of PM Shri Government High School, Sirigida, in Keonjhar district on December 28, 2025.

Addressing a large gathering of students, teachers, and alumni, the Chief Minister lauded the institution for its five decades of service in illuminating the lamp of knowledge and establishing a significant milestone in regional education and social development. He expressed his heartiest congratulations to the entire school community, including past and present staff who have contributed to the school’s illustrious fifty-year journey.

The Chief Minister highlighted the critical role that the Sirigida High School plays in the state government’s ongoing education reform campaign. He emphasized that the institution, now part of the PM Shri scheme, is being developed as a model center for value-based education.

During his address, Shri Majhi reiterated his government’s commitment to transforming the state’s academic landscape through infrastructure upgrades and teacher recruitment. He expressed firm confidence that such schools will serve as the backbone for realizing the dream of a Prosperous Odisha by fostering an environment of academic excellence and moral growth for future generations.

The golden jubilee ceremony served as a grand reunion for the school’s alumni, many of whom have gone on to contribute significantly to society.

The Chief Minister’s visit was part of a broader three-day tour of his home district, during which he inaugurated several developmental projects and participated in various cultural and educational events.

By recognizing the historical importance of the Sirigida institution, the state government aimed to underscore its priority of providing quality education even in the most interior regions of the district.
