Bhubaneswar: The ambient atmosphere of the Gitanjali Auditorium at Manasa turned into a vibrant hub of literary and cultural celebration on the evening of August 6, as scholars and creative minds gathered to witness the release of two landmark works by the distinguished academician and versatile author, Prof. Biswaranjan.
A central highlight of the event was the address by Dr. Sajalendu Malakar, who offered a deeply resonant commentary on the aesthetic depth of both works. The four-hour evening event, running from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., brought together a curated gathering of 42 delegates, including 21 prominent writers hailing from diverse regions of Odisha.
Prof. Biswaranjan, a retired principal of B.J.B. College in Bhubaneswar, remains a towering figure in contemporary literature whose expansive creative portfolio spans novels, short fiction, poetry, and children’s literature, alongside numerous insightful commentaries published across major Odia dailies. The evening highlighted his latest offerings: Dhare Luha, symbolic of a ray of hope illuminating human resilience, and Nija Sathe Nije, an introspective exploration of solitude and self-communion.
Following the formal book unveilings and writer introductions conducted by Prof. Biswaranjan, the gathering transitioned into a rich artistic session.
