Kheer Bhawani Utsav Celebrated

Gurugram: In a beautiful manifestation of faith, culture, and community, the fifth Maa Kheer Bhawani Utsav was celebrated on Monday, June 22, 2026, marking the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami. The divine festivities unfolded at Sai Ka Aangan in Sushant Lok-1, Gurugram, Haryana, under the profound and revered blessings of Guruji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy.

The spiritual proceedings commenced with deep devotion as Dr. Satpathy offered flowers and a pristine garland to the deity, Maa Ragnya Devi. Cultivating an atmosphere of pure sanctity, he then performed an auspicious ahuti into the sacred fire, sealing the completion of the puja and invoking peace and blessings for all of humanity.

The courtyard of Sai Ka Aangan transformed into a spiritual haven as hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits, alongside devotees from across India and around the globe, gathered to immerse themselves in prayer. The air resonated with traditional hymns, carrying the poignant memories of the sacred ancestral shrine in Tullamulla, Kashmir. For many in attendance, the gathering served as a deeply emotional bridge to their roots, reviving cherished memories of the valley. In keeping with ancient traditions, consecrated Kheer prasad was lovingly prepared and distributed to all devotees continuously throughout the day.

Adding a significant milestone to this year’s spiritual legacy, the festival witnessed the auspicious release of the Kashmiri translation of Shri Guru Bhagwat Khand I, titled Gaur Ta Shesh. Dr. Satpathy unveiled both the physical book and its electronic edition, providing the community with a precious literary treasure to preserve their spiritual heritage in their native tongue.

Complementing the religious fervor, a vibrant Jyeshtha Ashtami Mela was organized within the premises. The festival grounds blossomed with the sights and aromas of the valley, showcasing traditional Kashmiri spices, fresh seasonal vegetables, handcrafted artifacts, and elegantly woven traditional garments. The mela offered a beautiful, tangible glimpse into the rich heritage of Kashmir, delighting visitors and elder generations alike.

As the annual celebration continues to grow in stature each year, the Maa Kheer Bhawani Utsav stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith. It remains a vital sanctuary for the Kashmiri Pandit community to honor its spiritual lineage, reconnect with its timeless roots, and gracefully pass the torch of these centuries-old traditions down to the younger generation.
