Jadhav Boosts Keonjhar Sports Infra

Keonjhar: In a significant move to boost sports infrastructure and encourage local talent, Shri Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, Secretary Sports & Youth Services recently visited Keonjhar district to review ongoing and proposed sports development projects.

Shri Jadhav, who is also Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Northern Division is continuously visiting the districts and reviewing development process in these far flung zones.

His visit included a comprehensive inspection of the Dharanidhar Sports Complex in Shankarapur and the proposed site for an Integrated Sports Complex in Ranki.

At the Dharanidhar Sports Complex, Shri Jadhav engaged in discussions with athletes and coaches, gathering direct feedback on the available infrastructure and facilities.

He reviewed the complex’s amenities, which include a natural turf football field, a 400m synthetic track, an archery arena, and a multi-sport indoor hall.

The interaction with the athletes highlighted the importance of such facilities in nurturing local talent. The Dharanidhar Sports Complex is an integral part of the state’s efforts to develop sports at the grassroots level.

Following his visit to the existing complex, the Secretary Sports Shri Jadhav proceeded to the proposed site for the Integrated Sports Complex in Ranki. The proposed project is set to be a world-class stadium and sports complex.

This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to creating advanced sporting facilities in the district, which has a history of producing national and international-level players.

The inspection of the site and discussions with officials focused on the logistical and planning aspects of the new project, emphasizing the government’s dedication to providing a platform for young athletes to excel.

Shri Jadhav’s visit underscores the government’s priority of enhancing sports infrastructure in Keonjhar to support and develop the next generation of athletes.
