ITER Ranks Second In India

Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), the engineering and technology faculty of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, has been ranked second in the country in the prestigious Times All India Engineering Institutes Ranking Survey 2025. This significant achievement was highlighted in the survey, conducted by the Times of India and published on Thursday.

The comprehensive survey evaluated 175 engineering institutes nationwide through a meticulously developed research process involving desk research, factual surveys, and perceptual ratings. Beyond its overall second-place standing, ITER also secured the second position among the country’s top 125 private engineering institutes and notably emerged as the leader among such institutions in eastern India.

SOA’s commitment to excellence extends to specific domains, with its faculty of engineering and technology earning a third-place ranking nationally for research capability among 30 institutions, and an impressive fourth position for placements. These latest recognitions underscore SOA’s consistent high performance, building on its 14th national ranking among universities by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024. The university’s academic prowess is further validated by its A++ reaccreditation by NAAC in 2022 and the receipt of Category-I Graded Autonomy from the UGC.
