New Delhi: The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) continued its observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, underscoring its deep commitment to maintaining a workplace defined by integrity and transparency.
Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) IREDA, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, highlighted the core significance of the observance. Shri Das emphasized that the fundamental ethos of Vigilance Awareness Week in India is to proactively promote integrity, transparency, and accountability across public life with the ultimate goal of achieving a corruption-free society.
IREDA Chief has made significant efforts to integrate vigilance, integrity, and transparency into its daily operational culture, moving beyond mere annual observance.
The Navratna PSU approach, as articulated by its Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Shri Das emphasizes that vigilance is not just a regulatory requirement but is essential for institutional growth, disciplined functioning, and maintaining the health of the economy.
The week, organized annually by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), is a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting ethical governance and a corruption-free society in public life.
The primary goal of the observance is to foster a culture of preventive vigilance and encourage all stakeholders—government officials, public sector employees, and citizens—to actively participate in the fight against corruption.
The 2025 theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” emphasizes that eradicating corruption requires a collective effort and is not solely the duty of a single enforcement agency.
A comprehensive series of insightful sessions and engaging activities were orchestrated throughout the week to reinforce this critical ethos among IREDA employees.
These initiatives were specifically designed to encourage open dialogue, raise awareness, and foster a sense of shared responsibility in upholding ethical standards, further solidifying IREDA’s dedication to honest and accountable operations.
The week-long observance serves as a vital platform to raise public and internal awareness about the detrimental harm caused by corruption and to actively encourage collective participation in its prevention and eradication.
IREDA’s successful execution of the events reflects the organization’s unwavering commitment to embedding these principles into its daily functioning and corporate culture.
