ICCR Pacts To Boost Odisha Culture

New Delhi: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India and Odisha Government in Department Odia Language, Literature and Culture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Dr.  Bijay Ketan Upadhyay Director, Odia Language, Culture and Literature signed MOU on cultural, artistic and educational matters on behalf of the Government of Odisha.

 The agreement was signed by Anju Ranjan, Deputy Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), signed on behalf of Government of India.

On 11 November, 2022, 21 states of India have already signed this agreement with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in the “Bharat Ke Rajyon Ka Sanskrutic Sammelan”.

 It is a matter of great pleasure that the Government of Odisha has signed this agreement on 27 September 2024.

 So that the relationship between ICCR and Odisha Government will be improved and the cultural and diplomatic relations of the government will grow abroad. 

The signing of this agreement will facilitate the exchange of Odisha’s unique cultural traditions and tourism with India and abroad, as well as economic growth.

 The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Government of Odisha jointly organize and conduct various academic, cultural and arts related programs at home and abroad.  By which, the rich art culture of Odisha can be propagated abroad.

 The Odisha government has signed this agreement with the Indian government for the first time in the field of expression, propagation and development of traditional art and culture of Odisha, which carries the identity of Odisha abroad.
