Bhubaneswar: A workshop on ‘Statstical Data Analysis Using Statistical Package for Social Sciences’ was held at the Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), faculty of management sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University here on Saturday.
The workshop aimed at providing hands-on training to the students working in academic and research domains and enhance their understanding of statistical techniques.
The workshop was inaugurated by the SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Ayasakanta Mohanty, Dean, IBCS and Prof. (Dr.) Sasmita Das, Dean, SUM Nursing College, SOA’s faculty of nursing.
The speakers emphasized on the growing significance of statistical tools in data-driven decision making processes across various fields. The sessions were coordinated by Dr. Preeti Y. Shadangi, Ms. Rubi Pradhan and Ms. Suchismita Pahantasingh.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Manoranjan Dash, Associate Dean, IBCS, who provided an indepth insight into the application of SPSS for data analysis and guided the participants through practical exercises to enhance their analytical skills.
The valedictory session was presided over by Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare) who encouraged the participants to apply their learning in research.
