Two of these battalions will be raised following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), which has committed to deploying these two OISF battalions for a minimum of 20 years to secure their industrial operations. This indicates a strategic partnership between the government and key industries for enhanced security. Notably, this figure includes 204 posts that will be filled on an outsourcing basis.
