Puri: Senior BJD leader and Puri MP Pinaki Mishra on Saturday said that no agency in the world can stop the ongoing Srimandir Parikrama Project in Puri.
While speaking to reporters here after coming down heavily on Opposition BJP leaders like Aparajita Sarangi & Sambit Patra, Mishra said the construction work of the project is going on as per the wish of Lord Jagannath and no agency can stop it.
“As senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra has stated that Jatra Politics is going over the project, I don’t want to comment or reply on such politics. And I also don’t reply to the leaders, who are doping politics for their own political gain,” Mr.Mishra said, hinting towards Ms.Sarangi and Mr.Patra.
As per legality of the project is concerned, the high court and Supreme Court will decide and everyone have to abide by the court order, he added.
Meanwhile, Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati again highly criticised the state government over the project.
“Heritage sites like Puri have turned into ‘bhogbhumi’ and ‘sura sundari’ kendra which should not have happened. Puri has lost its spiritual essence due to the state government’s lack of concern,” he said.
Puri seer further said there is no political party, which can challenge the state government over the project. While BJP is with the BJD, Congress has not remained as it was earlier, the seer said.
