Sambalpur: Sambalpur City observed Shree Hanuman Jayanti with religious fervor, albeit under heightened security measures.
This year’s celebrations were particularly significant as they followed a period of restrictions due to past incidents of violence during the festival.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presence in Sambalpur has alerted entire District Administration in Sambalpur for which there was peaceful organization of celebration of Hanuman Jayanti.
Sambalpur Lawmaker, Jainarayan Mishra and Team Hanuman Jayanti Celebration Committee peacefully conducted celebrations.
Devotees across Sambalpur gathered at temples to offer prayers and participate in rituals honoring Lord Hanuman. Special arrangements were made at prominent Hanuman temples, where devotees offered prayers and prasad.

In light of previous year’s events, the District Administration and State Police took extensive measures to ensure a peaceful celebration. Key security arrangements included:
A significant number of police personnel, including central forces like the BSF and RAF, were deployed across the city.
The city was closely monitored with the help of CCTV cameras, including high-resolution AI-powered cameras at strategic locations.
Increased patrolling was conducted in sensitive areas to maintain law and order.
Certain restrictions were in place to manage large gatherings and processions.
Despite the security arrangements, the spirit of Hanuman Jayanti remained undeterred. Devotees engaged in traditional rituals, including, Chanting of hymns and prayers and offering of special prayers and “prasad” at temples.
The focus of the celebrations was on peaceful observance and community harmony.
