Guruji Mantra On Sadguru

Mumbai: Guru Samaprpana Divas was observed here on 4 November by the Shri Kaka Saheb Dixit Trust of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. This annual event is dedicated to remembering the first divine encounter of Shri Kaka Saheb Dixit with Shri Shirdi Sai Baba on November 2, 1909 as per the advice of Gurujee Chandra Bhanu Satpathy.

Kaka Saheb allias Hari Sitaram Dixit, a revered figure among devotees of Baba, was a prominent lawyer of his time, known for his impeccable reputation. His life took a profound turn when he visited Shirdi for the first time on that fateful day in 1909. Overwhelmed by the divine presence of Shri Sai Baba, he prayed for mental peace and wholeheartedly surrendered himself at the feet of Saibaba. In remembrance of this sacred moment, Guru Samarpan Divas is observed each year.

Addressing the devotees and faithful Gurujee Dr. Satpathy, emphasized the incredible power of a sadguru in attracting and guiding devotees. He highlighted how Shri Kaka Saheb Dixit, along with others, was drawn to Shri Sai Baba, ultimately becoming instruments for greater societal welfare.

Dr. Satpathy reflected, “A sadguru has the power to pull devotees, just as Shri Kaka Saheb Dixit was drawn, signifying the Sadguru’s ability to inspire and shape their devotees. They are instruments for calling, training, and using devotees for the betterment of society. Sadgurus possess an innate knowledge of the human soul.” He also acknowledged the spiritual richness of Maharashtra, blessed with numerous Sadgurus.

The event was a vibrant fusion of cultural performances and spiritual devotion. Venkatesh Inamdar presented a detailed overview of the trust’s multifaceted initiatives. Students of Nalanda Natya Mahavidyalaya, guided by Vaidehi Rele Lal, enthralled the audience with a graceful Nritya Vandana.

Anushka Mohanty mesmerized all with her Odishi dance performance, which centered around the theme of Shri Guru Bhagwat. The evening was further enriched with a soul-stirring bhajan Sandhya by the renowned artist Mr. Ajit Kadkade.

Devotees from across India and around the world graced the event, joined by several esteemed government officials. The 21st Guru Samarpan Divas served as a poignant reminder of Shri Kaka Saheb Dixit’s profound connection with Shri Shirdi Sai Baba and the enduring impact of Sai Baba’s teachings on countless lives.
