Cuttack: The State has recorded a growth of 16.26 per cent growth in gross GST collection during July 2023 in comparison to July 2022.
According to official data, the State has collected gross GST revenue of Rs 4245.40 crore in the month of July 2023 while it had collected Rs. 3651.61 crore GST during the same month of last year.
The progressive collection to be retained by the State (OGST+ IGST Settlement) till July, 2023 stood at Rs.7225.25 crore against a collection of Rs.6058.27 crore till July, 2022 recording a growth of 19.26 percent.
During July’ 23, the State collected OGST and IGST Settlement to the tune of Rs.1716.49 crore.
Similarly, the State GST or OGST collection during July 23 has recorded at Rs.1300.33 crore against the collection of Rs.1112.66 crore during July 2022 with growth rate of 16.87 percent.
The progressive collection of OGST till July 23 is Rs. 5511.69 crore against collection of Rs. 5238.61 crore upto July 2022 with a growth of 5.21 percent, the officials said.
The collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha including GST/ VAT/ Entry Tax / Profession Tax is stood Rs.10776.87 crore up to the last month as against collection of Rs. 9563.01 crore up to July, 2022 with a growth rate of 12.69 percent.
During July 2023, 20.12 lakh of waybills have been generated vis-à-vis 15.68 Lakh of waybills generated during July 2022 recording a growth of 28.31 percent reflecting the buoyancy in the economic sector, they said.
