Bhubaneswar: With an aim to reach more closer to the public, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has planned to conduct public grievance hearing programmes at Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) level in coming days.
Speaking to media persons while hearing public grievances here today, the Chief Minister said over 1,700 people from different parts of the State got registered for the public grievance programme held on the day.
The Government has initiated action in more than 1,000 cases.
The public grievance hearing programme was started at 10 am and continued till 4 pm.
Along with the CM, six Ministers including Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo, five Secretaries and several senior officials were present during the public grievance hearing programme.
Stating that the CM’s Grievance Cell virtually remained defunct for over 16 years, Shri Majhi said the problems of many people remained unresolved for a very long time because of this.
The CM said that his government has been giving emphasis to ensure speedy justice to the affected people.
He informed that the CM’s public grievance hearing process will be further strengthened and decentralised.
Even now people can get their grievances redressed at the district-level instead of visiting Bhubaneswar with minor issues, he said.
