Speaking on the occasion, Shri Singh Deo said, “As of now, we have approved 14 Green hydrogen/ ammonia projects in our State with a proposed investment of about Rs 2 lakh crores and employment opportunity for 22,000.”
In addition to water, renewable power is the main ingredient for production of green hydrogen & ammonia. Odisha has provided all opportunities and incentives for setting up RE projects in the State, he said.
“As RE Power generation is highly intermittent, we have created provision for banking of green energy, which will provide green power to green hydrogen & ammonia developers round the clock. In fact, we are one of the few states in the country to introduce green power banking.”
This is a landmark event in the establishment of the green hydrogen & ammonia industry in the State, said Principal Secretary Shri Dev.
