Bhubaneswar: 24 December marks the birthday of Gurujee Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, a revered spiritual leader and humanitarian whose wisdom and teachings have inspired millions worldwide.
On this special occasion, Odisha Governor Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended their heartfelt birthday wishes, highlighting Gurujee’s profound contributions to spirituality, culture, and humanitarian efforts.
Governor Raghubar Das, in his message, described Gurujee as a distinguished scholar and spiritual thinker. He acknowledged Gurujee’s unwavering dedication over the past 25 years in promoting Indian religion and philosophy globally. “Under his guidance, numerous centers have been established across countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Britain, and Europe,” the Governor said. He also prayed to Lord Jagannath for Gurujee’s long and healthy life, commending his relentless efforts to spread Indian culture and spirituality.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hailed Gurujee as “a great son of the soil, a noble Guru, and a divine soul.” He expressed gratitude for Gurujee’s guidance and humanitarian service, emphasizing his role in shaping countless lives. “May Lord Jagannath and Sadguru Sainath bless Gurujee with health and happiness to continue his invaluable service to humanity,” the CM remarked.
Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Bardhan Singhdeo also lauded Gurujee’s profound impact, saying, “Your wisdom, compassion, and guidance have been a source of inspiration for countless souls. We are eternally grateful for your boundless love and teachings.”
Former Supreme Court Justice Ananga Kumar Patnaik shared his personal gratitude, describing Gurujee as a pillar of spiritual and mental support during challenging times. He prayed for Gurujee’s continued good health and blessings from Shirdi Saibaba.
Jnanpith awardee and former Culture Secretary of India, Sitakanta Mohapatra, offered his birthday greetings, stating, “Happy birthday and many blessings on this special day. I seek your guidance and good wishes.”
Eminent writer Ramakant Rath also conveyed his heartfelt wishes.
Devotees around the world are gearing up to celebrate the day with prayers and rituals. In Andhra Pradesh, special Deepa lighting ceremonies and pujas are planned at Tirupati, while similar offerings will be made at Deoghar, Ayodhya, and Kashi.
In Odisha, Akhand Deepa and pujas are set to be performed at the sacred temples of Lord Jagannath in Puri, Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar, Chandi in Cuttack, and Samaleswari in Sambalpur.
Across various Shirdi Sai Baba temples and Shri Guru Bhagabat Tungis in India, tomorrow will witness special pujas, cultural programs, and charitable activities. A blood donation camp will be organised at Baleswar to commemorate the occasion.
Devotees will collectively pray for Gurujee’s long life and continued guidance during Sai Satcharitra and Shri Guru Bhagabat mass parayan, organised by Sai Nirmalya and Shirdi Sai Servants Society Trust at Baleswar.
