Bhubaneswar: In a strategic move to bolster the state’s ecological management and administrative efficiency the Department of Forest Environment and Climate Change has announced a series of high level appointments within the Indian Forest Service cadre.
Shri G. Rajesh a member of the 2001 IFS batch has been assigned the additional responsibility of Project Director for the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project in Bhubaneswar.
Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority(CAMPA) and holding the position of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests for Planning Programme and Afforestation(PP&A).
Shri Rajesh is recognized as an exceptionally honest and hardworking officer. His extensive experience is expected to drive the state’s forest development goals forward with renewed focus.
Simultaneously the State Government has promoted Shri Sanath Kumar N. an IFS officer of the 2012 batch to the role of Director of Nandankanan Biological Park.
Having previously served as the park’s Deputy Director his transition to the top leadership role ensures continuity in the management and conservation efforts of Odisha’s premier zoological facility.
These notifications underscore the government’s commitment to placing seasoned professionals in key positions to oversee vital forestry and wildlife initiatives.
