Bhubaneswar: The administrative landscape in Odisha has witnessed a significant development with the recent empanelment of Shri G Rajesh for the rank of Joint Secretary within the Government of India.
A distinguished member of the 2001 batch of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), Shri Rajesh has long been recognized for his blend of technical expertise and administrative integrity.
His career trajectory, spanning over two decades, is a testament to his reputation as an honest and hardworking mandarin who has consistently delivered results across various challenging assignments.
Currently serving as the Additional Chief Conservator of Forests (Planning, Programme, and Afforestation) and the Chief Executive Officer of the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), Shri Rajesh has now taken on the additional responsibility of Project Director for the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP).
In this capacity as State Director, he oversees one of the most vital environmental initiatives in the region, focusing on sustainable forest management through community participation.
His leadership at OFSDP is centered on improving the environment through forest restoration while simultaneously uplifting the livelihoods of local villagers, effectively bridging the gap between conservation and social welfare.
