Bhubaneswar: Ekamra Vatika’s summer camp is proving to be a hub of engaging and innovative activities for young minds. Summer Camp started on 5 May is fun filled.Recently, the campers embarked on fascinating journeys into both the prehistoric past and the vibrant world of birds, sparking curiosity and creativity at every turn.
One exciting day saw the children take a virtual step back in time during an interactive screen session focused on the Ice Age. Wide-eyed with wonder, they encountered magnificent creatures like the woolly mammoth, giant beavers , and the gentle giant sloth . The session ignited thoughtful discussions and a flurry of questions about these long-lost animals.
The learning then transitioned into hands-on fun as the young explorers brought the woolly mammoth to life through a creative craft activity, utilizing various materials to construct their own miniature versions of the furry behemoth. Their artistic talents were further showcased as they personalized coloring worksheets of the giant sloth with bright hues and unique touches.

Following the prehistoric adventure, the campers refueled with a delicious serving of upma before ending the day with joyful music and dance, celebrating a day brimming with learning and laughter.
Another unforgettable day at the camp saw the children delve into the captivating world of dinosaurs. The excitement began with a lively Dinosaur Stomp Exploration, where little ones roared and mimicked the movements of their favorite prehistoric creatures. An interactive screen session followed, enriching their understanding of different dinosaur species and their extinction.
Transforming into mini paleontologists, the children then engaged in a fossil-making activity, carefully creating their own dinosaur imprints in clay dough. Story time brought the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex to life, inspiring them to craft colorful paper plate dinosaurs. A hearty pasta lunch provided the energy for the final event – a cheerful Dinosaur Toss Game that had everyone laughing and cheering.

More recently, the camp embraced the avian world with a fun-filled bird-themed day. The morning kicked off with energetic bird flight games on the turf, allowing the children to warm up and move like their feathered friends. An interactive screen session introduced them to the fascinating world of extinct birds, including the iconic Dodo.
A sensory bird craft activity followed, where the young explorers embarked on a feather hunt and used their findings to create unique bird-themed crafts.
