Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government to Launch E-Portal to Streamline Lord Jagannatha Temple Land Settlement. This was decided in a high-level review meeting was chaired by Law, Public Works, and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Shri Vishal Dev, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy, Electronics and Information Technology, Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samal, Principal Secretary, Law and Shri Shiba Prasad Mohapatra, Additional Secretary. Puri Collector Shri Dibya Jyoti Parida joined the meeting virtually, alongside senior officials from OKAC and NIC.
The meeting was convened to streamline and accelerate the settlement process of Lord Jagannatha temple land.
The meeting focused on expediting the process of granting land rights to servitors (Sevayats) and non-servitors who have been occupying Lord Jagannath’s land for a long time.
To make the system more organized and transparent, an e-portal will be developed. Through this portal, both servitors and non-servitors residing on or occupying the temple land can easily submit their details.
This initiative will help create a comprehensive database of all land occupants, making the land settlement process much smoother and more efficient. Minister Shri Harichandan thoroughly reviewed the proposed system and provided necessary suggestions to ensure the portal is user-friendly and effective.
