Dr.Upadhyaya Gets Odia Language, Literature & Culture

Bhubaneswar: In a move reflecting Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s commitment to safeguarding Odisha’s ‘Asmita’ (Pride), Dr. Bijaya Ketan Upadhyaya, a distinguished IAS Officer of the 2009 Batch, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.

Department of General Administration and Public Grievance has brought out this notification along with other senior IAS Officers.

This appointment is seen as a natural choice given Dr. Upadhyaya’s long-standing interest and dedication to Odia language, literature, and culture.

Sources indicate that Dr. Upadhyaya is widely regarded as an honest, hardworking, and emotionally invested mandarin, making him an ideal fit for this crucial role.

His long tenure as Director Odia Language, Literature and Culture has prepared him well to lead initiatives aimed at promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Odisha.

In addition to his new role, Dr. Upadhyaya has also been entrusted with the charge of Director, Culture and Director Odisha Paribar.

This vital organization serves as a one-stop point of contact and support system for Odias residing in other parts of India and across the globe.

This dual responsibility highlights the government’s focus on both internal cultural preservation and outreach to the global Odia diaspora.
