Bhubaneswar: The Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting and elected its new Board of Directors for the 2026-28 term on September 29, 2026.
The newly elected team of office bearers includes Dr Prabodh Mohanty as President, Shri J.K Rath as Vice President for Industry, Shri Narayan Kumar as Vice President for Commerce, and Chartered Accountant Shri Giridhari Lal Sharma as Vice President for General.
Additionally, Dr Sanjeev Mahapatra has taken charge as Honorary Secretary, Shri Murali Jamula as Honorary Treasurer, Shri Kanhu Ranjan Prusty as Honorary Joint Secretary, and Shri Santosh Agarwal as Honorary Joint Treasurer.
The new office bearers were formally welcomed by the Chief Election Officer in the presence of chamber members. During the gathering, the newly elected directors collectively outlined their mission and vision, emphasizing a joint commitment to fostering industrial growth, enhancing commercial opportunities, and strengthening the economic landscape of Odisha through proactive collaboration with trade bodies and government stakeholders.

Highlighting the chamber’s core mission, Dr Mohanty stated that UCCIL will act as a robust voice for the industry while closely partnering with government bodies and institutional stakeholders to foster a vibrant, sustainable business ecosystem.
Under his leadership, the newly elected board underscored priorities centered around promoting entrepreneurship, boosting MSME capabilities, expanding export avenues, and encouraging green initiatives and technological integration across industries in Odisha.
Dr Mohanty reiterated the chamber’s dedication to positioning Odisha as one of India’s top economically advanced states by facilitating seamless policy implementation, enhancing ease of doing business, and drawing strategic investments.
