New Delhi: The Federation of Indian Mineral Industries(FIMI), the apex national body for the mining and mineral sector, has appointed Dr. Prabodh Mohanty as its Vice President. The decision was formalized during a high-level meeting of the FIMI Managing Committee held recently in New Delhi.
Dr. Mohanty is a prominent industrialist and the Managing Director of the SNM Group, a multifaceted conglomerate with interests spanning mining, manufacturing, and renewable energy. He currently serves as the President of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL) and has long been recognized as a leading voice for the industrial and mining landscape in Eastern India.

The appointment comes at a critical time for the Indian mining sector, which remains a cornerstone of the national economy. Dr. Mohanty brings extensive technical and administrative experience to the role, having established himself as a key figure in navigating complex industry challenges.
Known for his strong connections across both state and central government levels, Dr.Mohanty is expected to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between industry stakeholders and policy designers.
