During his time in Madinah, Dr. Kumar inspected various facilities and logistical arrangements put in place to accommodate the large influx of Indian pilgrims expected this year. The focus of the review was on key aspects such as accommodation, transportation, medical facilities, and overall infrastructure designed to cater to the needs of the pilgrims.
Following his engagements in Madinah, Dr. Kumar proceeded to Jeddah where he held a significant bilateral meeting with Dr. Abdul Fattah Al Mashat, the Hon’ble Vice Minister of Haj & Umrah for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The discussions between the two dignitaries were reportedly productive and centered around the detailed preparations for Haj 2025.
Key areas of discussion included the logistical framework for the arrival and departure of Indian pilgrims, the provision of essential services during their stay, and measures to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the pilgrimage. Dr. Kumar and Dr. Al Mashat explored avenues for further collaboration to enhance the overall Haj experience for the Indian contingent.
The Saudi side, led by Dr. Al Mashat, assured Dr. Kumar of their full support and commitment to providing the best possible care and comfort to the Indian pilgrims. This assurance reflects the strong and cooperative relationship between India and Saudi Arabia in facilitating this annual pilgrimage.
