Bhubaneswar: It is a rare honor for an Eastern India Cooperator, T Prasad Rao Dora to be inducted as Governing Council Member of National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC).
T Prasad Rao Dora, President Odisha State Co-operative Bank (OSCB) has been nominated to the NCDC Governing Council headed by Union Minister Home Affairs and Co-operation, Amit Shah. After Shri Shah has taken over as Chief of NCDC, the National Organization is scaling very high.
NCDC is the premier Co-operative Organization of the country is extending loans and grants to the State Governments for financing Primary and Secondary Level Co-operative Societies. NCDC is directly funding various projects also.
“It is a proud moment for the State Of Odisha in general and Eastern India in particular as for the first time OSCB President has been nominated to the all powerful funding organization of the Co-operative Sector”, said a former Principal Secretary Co-operation.
Shri Dora, an ace Cooperator has been in this movement for last 25 years and has been heading several State, National and International Organization in the Co-operative Sector.
Besides being the President of OSCB, the Premier Bank in the Co-operative Sector, he has been playing active role in scaling up activities of the Primary Cooperative Societies, which requires handholding. Under his dynamic leadership OSCB is extending massive credit facilties to the Farm Sector.
Shri Dora has served as Chairman of FISHFED, Bhubaneswar, FISHCOFED, New Delhi and Vice Chairman of International Fisheries Co-operative Organization, Seoul, South Korea.
Shri Dora an author of several books including ‘The Odisha Co-operative Societies Manual’, which is a Handbook for the officials and persons engaged in Co-operative Sector.
