Bhubaneswar: The newly formed BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is going to hold a two-day conference of All Collectors and District Magistrates (DM) here on September 27 and 28.
The meeting will be held here at Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre. On the second day of the meeting, all SPs will also attend the conference, which will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Deputy Chief Ministers and Ministers are likely to address the officers apart from top level officers including Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner.
During the meeting, stress will be laid on how people can benefit from the welfare schemes of both the State and Central governments.
Special emphasis will be given for smooth and proper implementation of the ambitious Subhadra Yojana and bonus of Rs 800 per quintal of paddy to the farmers from the next procurement season, sources said.
Besides, the conference would give emphasis on promotion of Odia language, art, culture and literature. A special discussion may be held on promotion of Odia Asmita during the conference.
The Superintendents of Police will be asked to maintain the law and order situation in the State. In the wake of the Bharatpur police station incident, the government may give some clear cut instructions to the SPs on how to deal with such situations.
The rising crime against women is also a concern for the government. So, the SPs would get some advice on how to deal with such cases.
