Divisional Meet Chart Next-Gen Governance

Sambalpur: The two-day Divisional Conference-cum-Workshop on Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement (LAR&R), Registration, Revenue, and Forest Rights Act (FRA) commenced on 15 November at the River Inn Resort in Sambalpur.

This meet is bringing together top administrative officials of the Northern Division. Revenue Minister Shri Suresh Pujari inaugurated the conference, underscoring the government’s commitment to transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric revenue administration.

The workshop is designed to provide comprehensive training and deliberate on critical aspects of revenue and land-related governance. It saw the attendance of all Collectors, Additional District Magistrates (ADMs), Sub-Collectors, Tahasildars, and Land Acquisition Officers (LAOs) from the Northern Division districts.

Shri Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Revenue & Disaster Management Department, was a key attendee, providing guidance and insights on the state’s vision for administrative reform and service delivery.

The officials were also addressed by Shri Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav, Revenue Divisional Commissioner (North), who set the context for the deliberations, focusing on the need to resolve long-pending land issues and ensuring the effective implementation of the LAR&R and FRA provisions.

Shri Jadhav harped about the importance of streamlining revenue services and using technology for better service delivery, which is related to the themes discussed in the Sambalpur conference.

The conference aims to enhance the capacity of field-level officers and streamline processes to ensure timely and equitable services to the public, particularly concerning land ownership, tribal rights, and development projects.
