Bhubaneswar: Four senior IPS officers of Odisha cadre have been promoted to DG of Police in Level-16 of pay matrix. The Home Department on Friday issued a notification in this regard.
All the four IPS officers belong to the 1989 batch. Pranabindu Acharya, ADG & Director, Investigation, OHRC and Sidhartha Mahadu Narvane, ADG, HRPC, have been promoted to the DGP rank.
Similarly, Amrit Mohan Prasad and B. Radhika, who are in Central deputation, are allowed proforma promotion to the grade of DGP, the notification said.
Last month, the State government had promoted several officers in the rank of additional superintendent of police to the rank of superintendent of police (super time scale).
