An official order issued by the BJD Headquarters also named Debi Prasad Mishra, senior vice president of BJD (Headquarters), as the coordinator for activities and programmes between the party’s various wings. The decision to entrust the PAC with daily responsibilities comes as the BJD navigates its role as the primary opposition in the state, following the recent assembly elections where it ceded power after a long tenure.
The Political Affairs Committee, which was recently revived by Shri Patnaik, is considered the highest decision-making body within the party.
Sources indicate that the revamped PAC, with its collective leadership, will play a crucial role in shaping the BJD’s strategy and addressing immediate political challenges.
