Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner, Anu Garg has driven home the Bankers for implementing programs like Ama Bank Scheme, Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana, Laxmi Yojana, Balaram Yojana, Mo Ghar Yojana.
She said these are the major public welfare programs of the state government. The unflinching and sincere support of the banks is essential towards their expected success. Therefore, Shrimati Garg called upon the banks to focus on those schemes.
Speaking as the Chief Guest at the 173rd State Level Bankers’ Committee Meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan here today, Development Commissioner Shrimati Garg said that since 65 per cent of the Gram Panchayats in the State do not have permanent banks.
So the State Government in collaboration with six Public Sector Banks has taken steps to provide uninterrupted banking services and loans to the public.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched the Banking Service through CSP (Plus) Bank Outlets in those Gram Panchayats.
The contribution of six public sector banks to this path-breaking initiative is undeniable and commendable, said DC Shrimati Garg.
