Bhubaneswar: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, reaffirming its commitment to education and youth empowerment, recognized the academic excellence of students at DAV Vedanta International School, Lanjigarh. A total of 22 exceptional students from the 2024–25 academic batch were felicitated under the Vedanta Merit Scholarship Awards. The ceremony was graced by Shri Animesh Pradhan (IAS), Block Development Officer (BDO), Lanjigarh.
As part of the scholarship initiative, toppers of Standards X and XII scoring above 90% received ₹10,000 each, while students securing over 90% in individual subjects were awarded ₹5,000. Toppers from Standards VI to IX were recognized with ₹8,000 each, celebrating their exceptional academic performance.
Speaking on the occasion, Pranab Kumar Bhattacharyya, CEO, Vedanta Alumina Business said, “Education is the strongest foundation for a progressive society. The Vedanta Merit Scholarship initiative is part of Vedanta Lanjigarh’s broader social development efforts aimed at promoting quality education, supporting meritorious students, and building an enabling ecosystem for youth development in the region.
Established by Vedanta Lanjigarh, DAV Vedanta International School is the region’s first English-medium school, committed to bridging educational gaps and igniting aspirations among rural youth.
